A Book On Living Forever: Chapter 2
My Sweating obsession continues….
This time rather that being in the form of a small wooden confined area (see chapter 1, Higher Dose), my sweating obsession has taken the form of an ankle weight booty bopping dance party. It starts with a T and ends with a Gwyneth Paltrow. Yes, its Tracy Anderson and I am now 2 months a member. There’s really no mystery here why people are obsessed.
You sweat like a maniac , think that Kanye fade video of that chick just dancing her heart out….now put 3 pound ankle weights on her…now make her do 30 reps of every shimmy shimmy push up padebure.
Is it easy, nope. But is it super aggressive and hard? not at all.
There are classes that push you over the edge and make you want to puke…running up inclines at 10.0 …. or even saying the word 20 pound weight….nope, you should never be holding a 20 pound weight, unless it’s your baby or your suitcase.
It’s the most enjoyable workout I’ve ever done and it flushes all the naughty - no good stuff you put in your bod there night before.
Adaptogenics are the new black
Adaptogens are those herbs and substances that increase the body’s resistance to stress and help it overcome all health challenges more quickly. Adaptogens are defined as substances which positively support the body to reduce or increase the body's actions as appropriate.
Ashwagandha, her Majesty of Herbs!
Besides being the most powerful herb in ayervedic healing - it helps with stress, fatigue, and concentration, strengthens the immune system, reduces anxiety, anti inflammatory, enhances sexual potency…. I mean, did i just save you hundreds of dollars not going to your shrink anymore?!? i think i did. But for real, i don’t know if the hit rate on all it’s claimed deliverable but listen if the hit rate is 25% then what do you have to lose, except your anxiety and your inflammation? Take it pill or powder form.
Reishi Mushroom, the most beloved superfood
Mushrooms are really effing cool. I don’t have to go into all the fun ways you can take mushrooms …. and I’m not just talking about roasting and stuffing. The Reishi mushroom however was the most beloved of all precious foods in Chinese medicine. The Reishi mushroom promotes calmness, center lines, balance, inner awareness and inner strength. It is used to improve meditative practices and to protect the mind and spirit.
