Sea is a New York based brand known for its artisanal aesthetic and commitment to hand-work. The brand's founders, Monica Paolini and Sean Monahan, started the brand in 2018 and it has since become known for its romantic, bohemian designs. During the pandemic, the brand's focus on craft only intensified and the brand's hand-pieced quilted looks have been particularly successful. For spring 2023, Sea combined sampler-style quilting with crochet, added a "tomboy" twist to the collection and revisited Slavic-inspired embroidery. The focus is usually on total-look dresses but mix-and-match separates are also available.
